Rundāles pils ir viens no Latvijas izcilākajiem arhitektūras pieminekļiem. Tas ir baroka laikmeta pils ansamblis ar iespaidīgu pili, staļļiem un krāšņu parku, kas ieskauts neskartā lauku ainavā.
Pils parks ir nozīmīgākais baroka stila franču dārzs Baltijā. Pils īpašo vērtību nosaka telpu vienotā mākslinieciskā apdare, kuras veidojumus un gleznojumus nav skārušas jaunāku laiku pārbūves un kara laiku postījumi. Kopš 1972. gada pilī darbojas muzejs.
